[social_warfare]Ever wonder when you should do self care? Should it just be a weekend thing or a monthly habit? Self care is defined as:
Actions you perform to take care of your physical, emotional, and mental needs.
It doesn’t have to take a lot of time. You can spread it throughout the day. We should strive to do something daily for ourselves. What makes you come alive?
It is not uncommon for moms to put themselves on the back burner to take care of others, especially single moms. We give and give again until we have nothing left. By putting a little care for ourselves in each day, we can continue to give to others. By filling your cup with ways that help you feel good, you can share the love with others.
“Self-care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you.” Katie Reed
Begin by making a list of ways that help you feel good, that make you feel renewed. Once you have your list of taking care of you ideas, find time in your day to make them happen. It can be as simple as sitting down to enjoy a cup of something warm before you start your day or at the end. Finding 5 to 10 minutes at different times of the day can help us feel like we can continue to be able to give to others.
“With every act of self care your authentic self gets stronger, and the critical, fearful mind gets weaker. Every act of self care is a powerful declaration: I am on my side; each day I am more and more on my side.” Susan Berry Weiss
Here are some ideas to get you started.

I love the idea in this article about self care where she suggests making a self care kit, what it is, and suggestions as to what to put in it.
