Have you ever thought about a dream or vision you wish would happen, but did not know how to get there? Tried something new, but it just didn’t feel right? Wished you could make changes, but can’t seem to put the right steps in order?
What do you want to do?
How can you make a dream or vision work for you? That takes a little thought on your part as to what it is you would like to put into place. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to eat better? Do you want to start being more active? What is it that you really want?
Close your eyes and dream
What if you could wave a magic wand? What would your life look like a year from now, if everything fell into place? How would you feel? What would you be doing differently? What is not currently working for you? What is working for you?
Write it down. Put pictures on a board that will remind you of what you are aiming for. When you put things in writing or make an actual visual to see regularly, they are more likely to happen.
Let’s take eating better as an example. First of all, evaluate what you already eat by keeping a journal of what you eat daily for three days. Look at it without judgment. You just want to see what you are currently doing. After journaling for a few days, it is time to analyze. Does it look balanced? Do you need to add a specific food group? Are you getting enough variety? After analyzing, what is one change you could make this week? How could you add a fruit or protein to breakfast? What about a veggie at lunch or dinner? How will you encourage your new choices to happen? How many times this week can you commit to do this? What days? These are just some ideas to get you started.
What has worked for you before when you have been able to make something work for you? Did you have to tweak it until you found just the right sequence?
Who do you want to be or become? What do you want to have? Let the sky be the limit. Spend some time thinking about how you can encourage yourself to be your best by allowing yourself to dream and visualize what that would look like for your future. Get out some paper and pen. Write down your thoughts. How can you bring your ideas to fruition?
