See if any of these are a part of your routine so you can decide if and when you are able to make some small changes so you sleep better. Now that we have addressed ensuring some healthier food choices and some habits that might be contributing to less than optimal sleep, let’s consider how to make your bedroom an oasis for sleep so you can be your best self tomorrow. Don’t think you have to conquer all the suggestions at once. That would be too much for anyone. Choose 1 or 2 simple items that you can implement today so you can start making the changes you feel are most important.
Sleep may be difficult during different seasons of our lives, but with a little work and consideration, you can get better sleep. Don’t be upset if it takes some trial and correction until you find the right pattern. Also, don’t be surprised if you have to circle back a few times when there are changes happening your life and family. Sometimes, when our children are small, sleep eludes us. Just do what you can to encourage the healthy sleep habits that work for you in the season you are in.
